STEP 1

Turn off flow of material in the damaged pipe and make the work area safe.

STEP 2

Clean the damaged pipe area where the repair is to be done. Remove excess mud, rust, scale, old repair work etc.

STEP 3

Put on latex gloves.

STEP 4

Remove bandage from packaging and submerge completely under water. Gently message bandage underwater for maximum 10 seconds.

STEP 5

Immediately remove bandage from water and wrap firmly around pipe. Cover at least 100 mm either side of damaged area. Use all the bandage. Refer to chart for number of wraps need for desired pressure rating.

STEP 6

To remove excess bubbles firmly message the wrap in a circular motion in the direction of the wrap.

STEP 7

It is normal to see small bubbles forming in the wrap and for the wrap to feel warm to the touch. This is the chemical reaction of the resin with the water, needed to cure the bandage. The bandage will feel hard to the touch in approx. 5 min. Allow 20 to 30 min for complete curing before restarting material flow in pipe.
